Your adventure - Our approach

We dread dealing with crabby people just as much as you do.  So, we make sure all our guides and the team you’ll meet here are good-natured, easy to get along with and willing to go the whole nine yards to make you happy.

How our guides work

Our New Zealand hunting guides are well known for their experience, patience and friendly nature.  If you don’t mind a few questions in the beginning, we can get to know you and figure out how you like to hunt.  We’ll usually do a fair bit of glassing early on so you can decide the style of red stag head you like.

Hunting with your buddies

Even with such an extensive hunting area, we prefer to keep to a maximum of four hunters, so you can hunt different areas with your guide. We’re small on crowds and big on adventure because we want to keep you happy. If you choose not to hunt together with your buddies, you'll only see them at mealtimes. Well, maybe a little earlier at cocktail-o’clock.

What’s the rush?

Take your time. Breathe, enjoy and fire when you’re ready. You’ll never be rushed here.  We play nice. Hunt at your own pace with our New Zealand hunting guides, including red stag, sika, sambar, fallow tahr and more.

Bringing non-hunters

Non- hunters can be spoiled rotten with Nine Yards Safaris. We know how to keep the girls happy with a range of premium non hunting experiences on offer both on the ranch and further afield. So don’t worry – we’ve got your back.

If you have a non-hunting companion that you’d like to come to New Zealand, email Lee  – she speaks ‘non hunting’.
